Oracle EBS Database Administrator

10+ years of Oracle DBA experience in enterprise production environments.

Strong expertise in Oracle Database 19c, including Multitenant Architecture (CDB/PDB).

Hands-on Oracle E-Business Suite (12.1.x or later) administration experience.

Strong knowledge of RMAN backup/recovery, cloning, refreshes, and disaster recovery.

Experience with Oracle performance tuning, AWR/ASH analysis, SQL tuning, and troubleshooting.

Proficiency in Linux (RHEL/Oracle Linux) and Shell scripting.

Knowledge of database security, auditing, roles, grants, and least-privilege practices.

Experience with Python development (Flask/FastAPI), automation, and monitoring tools is preferred.

Exposure to Cohesity, Active Data Guard, Oracle Resource Manager, Boomi, Fivetran, and Power BI is a plus.

Oracle OCP/OCM certification is desirable but not mandatory.

Strong communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Administer and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite (12.1.3) and Oracle Database 19c (CDB/PDB) environments across production and non-production systems.

Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, cloning, refreshes, and migrations.

Manage RMAN backup and recovery operations, including restore validation, disaster recovery testing, and point-in-time recovery.

Support Oracle EBS activities including cloning, patching, AutoConfig, Concurrent Manager administration, and workflow troubleshooting.

Monitor database health, availability, storage, and performance to ensure business continuity.

Analyze and resolve database performance issues using AWR, ASH, SQL tuning, execution plans, and Oracle performance tools.

Manage tablespaces, data growth, capacity planning, memory utilization, and resource allocation.

Troubleshoot locking, blocking, deadlocks, and other database-related issues.

Maintain database security, user management, auditing, access controls, and compliance standards.

Develop and maintain Shell and Python scripts for automation, monitoring, alerting, and operational efficiency.

Support integrations with enterprise applications, ETL tools, reporting platforms, and third-party systems.

Participate in production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and on-call rotations.

Perform routine health checks, preventive maintenance, and system optimization activities.

Collaborate with infrastructure, application, development, and business teams to support project and operational requirements.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and knowledge articles.

Recommend and implement best practices for database administration, security, backup/recovery, and performance management.

Contribute to automation initiatives, operational tooling, and continuous improvement programs to reduce manual effort and improve service reliability.
