We are looking for an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite (Oracle Apps) Technical Consultant with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in Oracle EBS R12 technical development and support. The candidate should have strong knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle EBS technical architecture, Forms, Reports, XML Publisher/BI Publisher, Interfaces, APIs, Concurrent Programs, Workflows, and integrations. The role involves developing and supporting technical solutions, troubleshooting production issues, developing customizations and interfaces, and working closely with functional teams to understand and implement business requirements.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
3-4 years of experience in Oracle EBS.
The candidate should have a good understanding of the relationship between:
Forms → Concurrent Programs → PL/SQL → APIs → Interface Tables → Base Tables → Reports.
Should be able to trace business transactions across Oracle EBS modules.
Example:
Purchase Requisition → Purchase Order → Receipt → Inventory → AP Invoice → Payment → GL.
The candidate should understand how technical objects support this business flow.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Oracle EBS Technical Development:
Develop and maintain custom solutions in Oracle E-Business Suite R12.
Develop PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, cursors, and SQL queries.
Analyze existing customizations and identify opportunities for improvement.
Follow Oracle development standards and coding best practices.
Perform unit testing and support IT/UAT activities.
Oracle EBS Modules:
Good understanding of technical aspects of one or more Oracle EBS module.
The candidate should understand how data flows between different Oracle EBS modules.
Business flows.
Procure to Pay.
Order to Cash.
Interfaces and Integrations:
Develop and support Inbound and Outbound interfaces.
Work with Oracle EBS interface tables and APIs.
Develop data-loading programs using:
Standard Oracle APIs
Interface tables
Open Interface programs
PL/SQL procedures
Troubleshoot interface failures and data-related issues.
Work with external systems and middleware for Oracle EBS integrations.
XML Publisher / BI Publisher
Develop BI Publisher reports.
Create and modify RTF templates.
Work with XML data generated from Oracle EBS.
Develop bursting/control files where required.
Troubleshoot XML Publisher/BI Publisher template issues.
Oracle Forms
Develop and maintain Oracle Forms customizations.
Reports
Develop and maintain Oracle Reports.
Modify existing RDF reports.
Work with report parameters, SQL queries, and data models.
Support migration of reports to BI Publisher where required.
Workflow
Prepare technical documentation for custom developments and fixes.
